I don’t think Austin Butler’s promo tour for ‘Dune: Part Two’ was given enough credit.
Perhaps that is because I was never expecting the actor to suddenly start to keep up with the likes of Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet in terms of presenting a new style personality for each outing.
Much like his ‘Elvis’ promo tour, we saw a selection of skinny, oversized, striped, and three-piece suits, plus we even had a sweater and jeans moment.
The only look which I would consider “outside his comfort zone” was the Haider Ackermann suit from the New York premiere, but that wasn’t on my list of favourites.
I think Austin had his best moments in Paris with the flared Louis Vuitton look and oversized Fear of God outing, but my favourite look overall was his Celine Homme from the Seoul premiere.
I would also add the pinstriped Saint Laurent from the Mexico Fan Event even though it gave me déjà vu from the ‘Elvis’ tour.
