It was a busy night for Miuccia Prada who dressed three celebrities for the 2024 NAACP Image Awards on Saturday.
Oprah Winfrey has made purple her colour, having consistently worn it throughout the promo tour for ‘The Color Purple’ and awards season.
Closing the season on a high, her final act in purple was a custom Prada gown embellished with pearl and crystal embroidery.
In terms of fit, fabric, embroidery, and length, this is one of the best custom Prada designs this year, along with Hunter Schafer’s wispy Prada dress for the 2024 Golden Globe Awards.
And then we get to Ava DuVernay, who also wore a custom Prada gown, but the difference is that her lavender silk gown needed to be shorter, or her Prada pearl satin platform sandals needed to be an inch higher.
A silver Prada triangle crystal clutch completed her look.
Amanda Gorman was always known as the girl who wore bold colours; specifically yellow, but she received the Chairman’s Award at this event wearing a Prada black sequin and lace gown.
Prada Eternal Gold medium drop earrings in yellow gold, and Eternal Gold snake bracelet in yellow gold completed her look.
