As red-carpet season finally draws to a close, The Academy Awards graces us with a grand finale, delivering a spectacular display of red-carpet fashion.
This year, we saw stunning appearances from many, but honourable mentions must go to the likes of Carey Mulligan in vintage Cristóbal Balenciaga, Lupita Nyong’o radiating in Armani, and America Ferrera glowing in Versace’s Barbie-pink.
Aside from stunning fashion, the ceremony itself unveiled its 2024 Academy Award winners. Oppenheimer scored a total of seven awards, Emma Stone secured the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in Poor Things, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, star of The Holdovers, claimed the Supporting Actress accolade.
All of the Best Song nominees performed their tracks, including Ryan Gosling’s rendition of “I’m Just Ken”, featuring a surprise appearance by Slash. We also witnessed Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” from the box office hit Barbie ultimately claim the evening’s top award.
