And the award for best look by a non-nominee goes to Zendaya Coleman! Ms. Coleman, take a bow.
The Dune star, known as much for her flawless fashion sense (developed in collaboration with Law Roach) as her acting, was an announcer at the 2024 Academy Awards. So, we all were blessed with a signature Z red carpet slay.
She wore a dark pink form-fitting Armani Privé gown, which was embroidered with sparkly black palm trees. Zendaya complemented the dress with Bulgari jewelry—including eye-popping fuchsia statement earrings. She complemented the look with her hair in a sleek flipped-out bob and a matte lip.
Zendaya has used the Dune: Part Two press tour as her own personal red carpet, turning out looks that are at once edgy, modest, youthful and sophisticated. She’s pulled archival pieces and shown a lot of ab, so of course her Oscars style is no different.
Zendaya is one of Hollywood’s brightest stars, with her film Dune: Part Two dominating the box office as fans eagerly await the upcoming Challengers, in which she plays a tennis champ in a love triangle. She recently reflected on her experience filming Denis Villeneuve’s epic on Instagram, writing, “Being in this film is such an honor and I just wanted to come on here to express my deep gratitude, to Denis for not just his talent but his kindness, to everyone who’s heart went into making it and to everyone who’s taken their time to see it♥️”
