Following the ‘Dune: Part Two’ promo tour, Zendaya was back on the red carpet for the ‘Challengers’ Sydney premiere this afternoon.
You may remember that ‘Challengers’ was pulled from being the opening film for Venice Film Festival back in August because of the writers’ strike if you are wondering why we are getting two major promo tours back-to-back from Zendaya.
As you know I love a theme, but I have a feeling that some of you might be themed-out following Margot Robbie’s twelve-month Barbiecore marathon.
With that in mind, are we ready for a tennis-related, green, white, and possibly yellow hued promo tour?
Jonathan Anderson loves a surrealist print – Beyonce’s Loewe gold hand-print catsuit springs to mind – but was a tennis player print, mid-play on a dazzling green custom Loewe gown the perfect way to start this promo tour?
Honestly.
I’m majorly underwhelmed, and to give Zendaya a back-handed (no pun intended) compliment, it’s because she has set the bar so high.
This should have been a big serve for Zendaya, but her first shot hit the net for me.
I don’t dislike this outing, but this doesn’t come close to any of her epic looks from the ‘Dune’ tour. And here lies the problem of having to tours so close to each other.
If I didn’t know that looks for this promo tour had been ready since August 2023, I would have guessed that this was commissioned last week.
The blonde hair was a fun change of pace.
