Before her promo tour for ‘Wicked’ officially commences, Cynthia Erivo attended the AFI Life Achievement Award tribute to Nicole Kidman held at Dolby Theatre on Saturday in Los Angeles, California.
The British actress is clearly saving her green themed red carpet attire – but not her nails – for the promo tour, as she opted for grey wearing this Khaite Romee pleated open back dress from the Fall 2023 collection.
Cynthia’s innate style is maximalist, as she never shies away from bold colours, bolder prints, and complicated silhouettes, but none of her signatures – aside from the nails – were seen on this occasion.
I don’t know about you, but I’m seeing this as the quiet before the inevitable storm, plus, Cynthia shares the same stylist as Nicole, so I’m sure Jason Bolden was mindful about keeping the spotlight on the woman who was being honoured at this event.
While the colour and the style may have been muted by Cynthia’s standards, she looks just as tall in this dress, as when Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Elsa Hosk wore this dress.
