Da’Vine Joy Randolph joined Fantasia Barrino on the red carpet for the 2024 TIME100 Gala on Thursday in New York City.
The Oscar-winner looked as beautiful as ever, but I wasn’t sold on this custom Elisabetta Franchi gold one-shoulder laminated chiffon gown.
The ruching killed the look, much like it did on Ella Purnell’s Miu Miu gown from the ‘Fallout’ LA premiere.
I also feel that the crystals were added to disguise how random and ineffective the ruching was, and how poorly designed this gown is, and I’m not sure on this colour either.
This is the first look I haven’t liked from Da’Vine this year.
This one hurt, because she can do better than this, and deserves better than this.
