Anya Taylor-Joy continued to promote her new film ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ held at Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico last week.
This photocall took place on Monday, the day of the 2024 Met Gala, and it is my feeling that Anya’s custom Balmain dress was a nod to the theme.
The most obvious interpretation for us to acknowledge is how this dress embraces the ‘Garden,’ which Olivier Rousteing did by creating this metal Couture floral applique dress, sculptured with all the female body parts.
To some, this might feel like quite an elaborate piece for a photocall, but we all know by now that Anya doesn’t do things by halves.
This was always going to be a high production press tour for me, but it’s a shame the footwear isn’t working out here.
