I have been talking about the Cannes Film Festival premiere for ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,’ because that is where I expected the magic to happen, but Anya Taylor-Joy ensured that this press tour was going to be electric from look one.
For the Sydney premiere today, the actress wore a look from the Paco Rabanne Spring 1996 Haute Couture collection.
Honestly. This isn’t the direction I saw this press tour going in, but I’m blown away by Anya’s commitment once again.
My expectations were high, and Anya has already exceeded them. Just as I hoped she would.
I was expecting some parallels to Zendaya’s ‘Dune: Part Two’ press tour with the post-apocalyptic world in the middle of the desert references, but you can only connect to the theme in terms of the cybernetics of it all, infused with a retro-futurist 1920s elegance.
After the tenniscore theme tour, we needed a press tour with a lot more imagination and creativity, and here it is.
