Style-wise, Rosalía has come a long way. Remember her red carpet moments in Balmain when the flares were so long it looked like they had a mind of their own?
For the Met Gala she looked every inch a sophisticated lady channelling Sleeping Beauty wearing a Dior Haute Couture bustier dress.
Some might be thinking this is too tame for someone as creative as Rosalía, but I enjoyed seeing something different and completely unexpected.
The train, Dior headpiece and Dior Delicat necklace contributed in selling this look to me.

Elizabeth Debicki is the ultimate Dior woman; we have said this many times.
But I’m struggling to get on board with this bronze hue for the Australian actress.
It could be pre-bias on account of not being used to seeing her in Dior Haute Couture looks that aren’t black or in neutral tones, but this look does play its part especially with the Dior headpiece.

The dress itself is pretty with embroidered butterflies, but it’s 2024, and the undergarments could have been a lot more seamless. If they are that noticeable, it’s because you want them to be.

I was really impressed with the tempo of Willow Smith’s Dior Haute Couture jacket styled with Wolford tights and Dior shoes.
I usually put the Smith offspring in the ‘doing too much’ category, which we want at the Met Gala, but this coming of age look stands head-and-shoulders above a lot of her other red carpet outings.
