Michael Kors dressed six celebrities in custom Couture for the 2024 Met Gala on Monday.
There she is.
The reason why I don’t go in on Gabrielle Union’s red carpet colour drought, is because I know there is a moment like this around the corner, so I will always (im)patiently wait.
Gabby was in her most dazzling form wearing this Michael Kors Collection metallic ombré tulle mermaid gown featuring thousands of sequins in five colours and varying sizes that created a spectacular, one-of-a-kind scaled effect.
This was a mermaid gown to end all others as one of the highlights of the night.
Styled by Thomas Christos Kikis.
Rachel Zegler was channelling her inner modern-day Disney princess wearing this embellished Michael Kors Collection pale blue plunging halter gown accented with a pale blue taffeta-and-tulle opera coat.
The moment would have been even more impressive with better hair and makeup, as neither didn’t work for me.
Styled by Sarah Slutsky Tooley.
Allison Williams’ exuded glamour in her usual relaxed and effortless manner wearing a Michael Kors Collection black-and-white floral chiné jacquard drop-waist gown.
Styled by Cristina Ehrlich.
The shadow floral embroidery wrapping around Meg Ryan’s Michael Kors Collection gown like a vine was simply exquisite.
Chase Stokes’ custom Michael Kors Collection black sequined suit probably didn’t need all those necklaces.
But I have a feeling that all eyes were on Kelsea Ballerini’s Michael Kors Collection suntan tulle gown with scattered floral appliqués paired with a matching peach taffeta clutch jacket.
This is everything I didn’t want to see at this event. It feels cheesy, and dare I say tacky. This was my least favourite on the night.
