The reunion of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence for ‘Bad Boys: Ride Or Die’ has been highlighted by a series of high-profile premieres in Dubai, Berlin, and LA, where the stars showcased their distinctive fashion choices, however, it has been Jada Pinkett-Smith that has been stealing the spotlight with two Iris Van Herpen Haute Couture dresses.
dubai Premiere
Iris Van Herpen is known for using 3-D printing and constructing sculptural forms to create modern materials and futuristic silhouettes that unite fashion with fantasy, which can be seen in this cold-shoulder moment from the Iris van Herpen Fall 2019 Haute Couture collection.
You may remember that Joey King wore this same dress to the 2020 Golden Globes.
Will Smith wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana tartan plaid Sicilian-fit single-breasted suit.
I could have been on board with this look had it not been for the vest and the necklace, as both pieces over complicate the look for me.
The brooch was interesting as the stones highlighted the colours within the tartan print.
Berlin Premiere
Will Smith is known for his traditional suits with a twist, but he served up his most contemporary look yet wearing a Fear of God suit, recognisable due to the oversized fit.
While I like the direction, I feel that going down a size would have produced a less drowning-in-fabric effect.
Martin Lawrence presented a sharp and sleek appearance wearing an Alexander McQueen crystal Harness blazer.
LA Premiere
Jada wore her second Iris van Herpen Haute Couture dress of this promo tour, and this was yet another re-run as it was first worn by Fan Bingbing back in 2017.
I love how the transparency of the tulle complements both their skin-tones, so the futuristic silhouette and fantasy are upheld.
Martin continued his run of sleek and stylish blazers, this time opting for midnight blue velvet.
Will appears to have stepped into his Bad Boy era during this press tour considering his newfound love for oversized suits and chunky jewels.
On this occasion the fit wasn’t of comical proportions.
Willow Smith is known for favouring unconventional styles, but this Acne Studios Fall 2024 check print suit didn’t steal the spotlight from the men of the hour.
Trey Smith opted for a sleek slim fit green suit, diverging from his father’s oversized styles.
Jaden Smith served up a look of contrasting styles, while his grandma, Gammy Norrison, rocked an Alice + Olivia Natacha denim maxi dress.
