Extra long ‘Sleeping Beauty Hair’ was a major trend at the 2024 Met Gala and it’s not hard to see why. The theme of the evening was “The Garden of Time” so romantic fairybook florals were already a key reference. For the best hair looks, we saw florals and vines snake around gowns and through strands, but we also saw trailing princess hair and ponytails.
The evening kicked off this year’s fashion exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of the Arts which will open to the public from 10th May. It’s title? Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion. It’s not a reference to Disney. Instead, it celebrates 250 historic garments that normally lay “sleeping” in the archives that are set to be showcased lying down (on account of their fragility) in glass cases.
But that didn’t stop Aurora hair dominating the evening. We saw it on the likes of Kendall Jenner, Ariana Grande, Keke Palmer, Elizabeth Debicki and more.
Here’s some of our favourite ways the celebs wore sleeping beauty hair at the 2024 Met Gala…
Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner wore scrunched butt-length braids with victory rolls to add a vintage vibe at the crown.
