Considering Taylor Russell really blew up in 2022, I’m surprised that this was her first Met Gala.
The ‘Bones & All’ actress, who is the global brand ambassador for Loewe, didn’t disappoint wearing this custom high-neck, 3D molded bodice featuring a trompe l’oeil effect mimicking wood marquetry, which was contrasted with a draped skirt amplifying the Grecian goddessness of it all.
Wood effect hair accessories complete the look, echoing themes of biomimicry featured in the ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’ exhibition and the evening’s dress code, ‘The Garden of Time.’
This was one of the looks which blew me away on the night. Not only because of how divinely beautiful and unique this is, but I also love how Taylor effortlessly sells the look and the theme.
