Mother was mothering, as the kids say. Oscar winner Angelina Jolie turned 49 on Tuesday, June 4, and rang in the day by hanging at home with her kids. Which is what my mom likes to do on her birthday as well. Must be a mom thing.
“Angelina celebrated her birthday with a quiet day at home with all of her kids,” reports Entertainment Tonight. “Zahara is home from college, and everyone enjoyed spending the day together.” Zahara, her eldest daughter, is enrolled at Spelman College, in Georgia. It is unknown at this time if anyone pushed the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star’s head into her cake the way she did to Salma Hayek a couple years ago.
As her children have grown up, Angelina Jolie has allowed them to, if not step into the spotlight, then dip a toe into the spotlight, as they feel comfortable. Her daughter Vivienne seems to have an interest in Broadway musicals. Mom and daughter posed together backstage at Dear Evan Hansen, and now the teenager is helping Angelina produce The Outsiders. Shiloh is a hell of a dancer, and Zahara got to wear one of her mom’s gowns to the Eternals premiere.
