New York NY EXCLUSIVE Loving Couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds walk arminarm while out for a morning stroll in...

While Emily Ratajkowski stays loyal to her beloved Puma Speed Cats, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are firmly pro-Converse as the battle for the sneaker of the summer heats up. And they’re making a persuasive case. (Best white sneakers on the market? Right this way.)

The power couple stepped out in New York City wearing lightly coordinated casual outfits, both in shades of blue with matching cuffed pants. Lively wore light wash denim mom jeans (complimentary) and a racerback tank, accessorized with sunglasses and a straw purse. Reynolds chose navy pants, a sky blue collared shirt, very similar sunglasses, and a baseball camp bearing the emblem of the soccer team he co-owns, Wrexham A.F.C.

Both actors, who share four children, chose Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars, Lively going for brown while Reynolds opted for white with grey socks. Reynolds loves his white Converse. Total sk8r boi vibes.

Not that Converse have ever been out of style, but they’re definitely having a moment right now. Vivienne, daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, wore a pair to opening night of the Broadway musical her mom produced. Brittany Mahomes wore Converse to take in an NBA game with her husband and his co-workers. And Sophie Turner’s new beau, Peregrine Pearson, is a total Converse Convert, too. Oh, the battle between the pleasures of high tops and the pain of having to get them on and off your feet.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively recently returned from Madrid, where they had an epic family night out at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. Joined by the sisters Haim—Alana, Este, Danielle—the actors and three of their daughters were spotted having the best time singing along.

Swift herself even shouted out the Reynolds kids when introducing her song “Betty,” which famously uses the names of the couple’s first three children. Wish we could walk a mile in their Chucks.
