It’s hard to tell where Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck stand with each other amid rampant divorce speculation.
On June 29, Lopez was photographed wearing her wedding ring one day after a source told People that Affleck removed his belongings from their shared home. According to the publication, the 51-year-old Good Will Hunting star made sure everything was out before Lopez returned from her recent trip to Europe, where she attended Paris Fashion Week without her husband.
“Ben continues to live at the Brentwood rental. He’s been there for about two months now,” another source told People. “He seems okay. He’s been at his office every day and seems focused on work. He’s also spending time with his kids.”
Though Affleck was recently spotted without his wedding ring during a lunch outing with his daughter Violet on June 23, it was back on his finger by June 25. According to Page Six, Lopez was seen driving to Affleck’s office the very next day, which seems like another good sign for the couple’s relationship.
Bennifer divorce rumors first started swirling in back in May after Lopez was spotted house-hunting in Los Angeles without Affleck. Soon after, reports surfaced that Affleck had moved out of their $60 million home.
“They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her,” the source told In Touch at the time. “There’s no way it could have lasted. They waited almost two decades to get back together, but in the end, they just couldn’t make it work…. They both said they’d matured and learned from their mistakes, but some of the bigger issues that tore them apart the first time remained the same.”
Just a week after Lopez cancelled her world tour to spend time with her family, TMZ reported that the mansion was officially on the market on June 8. While TMZ suggested their divorce is “imminent” you can never be too sure with Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. After all, this is the couple that managed to rekindle their romance 20 years after calling off their first engagement. Here’s hoping it won’t take them another 20 to work this out.
