Jessica Biel is “not happy” about Justin Timberlake’s recent arrest.
Biel was busy filming her next project, The Better Sister, in New York City just hours after her husband, Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor on June 18. “The charge was a single count [of driving while intoxicated] because he refused the breath test,” Timberlake’s lawyer, Ed Burke, told Us Weekly. “Mr. Timberlake was also charged with two other court citations, running a stop sign and not traveling in the correct traffic lane.” He was arraigned and released without bail that same day.
According to a source that spoke with People, Biel was “not happy” about the “distraction” from her work, though she “loves” her husband and “will always be by his side.”
“She had to film yesterday,” the source said on June 19. “She doesn’t like any attention on the family, especially not negative.”
Meanwhile, sources told Us Weekly that the 7th Heaven alum was “really worried” about the “Cry Me a River” singer when she learned of the arrest. “Jessica is extremely upset,” the source said. “She was shocked to hear the news and had no idea as she was working.”
Jessica Biel has stuck by her husband through multiple “ups and downs” during their 17-year relationship. After a brief breakup in 2011, the pair wed in 2012 and now share two young sons, Silas and Phineas.
Most notably, Timberlake was at the center of an alleged cheating scandal in 2019, when the singer was photographed holding hands with a Palmer costar outside of filming. At the time, Timberlake told the public that “nothing happened” between the costars but still apologized to his “amazing wife” for the “embarrassing situation.”
