Lily Collins returned to the red carpet for the LA premiere of her new film, ‘MAXXXINE,’ on Monday.
Debuting a chic new bob hairstyle, Lily credited her hairstylist Gregory Russell for the transformation, proudly proclaiming the change as a “New hair era unlocked” on Instagram.
In addition to her fresh haircut, Lily embraced the blue suit trend that has been popular in menswear, wearing a look from the Schiaparelli’s Spring 2024 collection. The suit was not just any suit; it featured a signature hammered gold brass padlock clasp.
However, what truly stole the show was the long necklace worn as a bib, adorned with rhinestone eyes and multiple-coloured rhinestones, adding a touch of whimsical glamour to her look.
One particularly noteworthy aspect of Lily’s outfit was her decision to adjust the rise on the draped sarong skirt. This subtle yet effective tweak ensured that the look maintained balance, avoiding an overly elongated torso while demonstrating her eye for proportion and her ability to enhance a designer’s vision with modifications to suit her.
But the question is: did Lily Collins manage to sell this bold look, or does this need someone with more attitude and edge to truly bring it to life?
For me, this premiere marks an intriguing start to Lily’s promo tour, showcasing her willingness to venture into more daring fashion territories. Since promoting the second season of ‘Emily in Paris,’ she has consistently pushed the boundaries of her style, stepping out of her comfort zone and embracing more directional, avant-garde choices.
I’m loving the newfound confidence.
