It is a rare occurrence for the Summer Olympics and a major fashion season to coexist in one city, and Maria Grazia Chiuri knows how to honour and celebrate the monumental moment. Embracing the competitive spirit of the games, she looked to athletes throughout history who fought for equality in sports, and challenged the role of clothing in motion. With draping reminiscent of classic Greek and Roman statues and practical silhouettes revealing trousers underneath skirts, the Dior Haute Couture collection blends the power and delicacy of movement.
