It has indeed been a remarkable weekend for Spanish athletes, with Spain’s men’s football team clinching the 2024 Euros title and Carlos Alcaraz triumphing over Novak Djokovic to win Wimbledon.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, made her second public appearance of the year following the Trooping the Colour, in her official capacity as the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, where she had the honour of presenting the Wimbledon championship trophy to Carlos Alcaraz, marking a significant moment in his burgeoning career.
Accompanying Catherine was her daughter, Princess Charlotte, who wore an adorable polka dot dress by Guess.
Catherine, an avid tennis enthusiast, looked radiant and happy to be at Wimbledon, a place she cherishes, where she wore a beautiful Safiyaa Cecilia midi dress in her favoured fit-and-flare silhouette, featuring a distinctive twisted bodice.
The colour of her dress carried historical significance, symbolizing regality. Additionally, the purple hue is also closely associated with Wimbledon and its iconic purple and green logo, as signified by the bow on her dress, a privilege reserved for the club’s patron and executive staff.
Catherine completed her elegant look with tan accessories, including an LK Bennett Milly bag and Camilla Elphick Lucia Tan slingback pumps, plus gold By Pariah Sabine hoops, epitomising her sophisticated and timeless style.
