The Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Welcome event, a prelude to their lavish annual three-day extravaganza, unfolded at Forte Village in Sardinia, Italy, on Sunday. This gathering set the stage for the renowned Italian brand to unveil their Gioielleria jewelry collection along with the highly anticipated Alta Moda (women’s) and Alta Sartoria (men’s) fashion shows.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley epitomized the brand’s signature blend of sensuality and sophistication, donning a boudoir-inspired Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2024 Alta Moda lace column gown. The gown, enveloped in black lace and featuring exposed boning, exuded a dramatic dark opulence, perfectly suited for the evening. Complementing her ensemble, Rosie adorned herself with a bijoux cross necklace and earrings, enhancing the gown’s gothic allure.
Alessandra Ambrosio, known for her signature red carpet style, defied expectations by opting for a rare mini dress from the Dolce & Gabbana La Sera collection. Paired with a Dolce & Gabbana Sicily bag that echoed the crystal net design of her dress, Alessandra’s look was a refreshing departure from the barely-there see-through dresses she often favours.
British actor Lucien Laviscount, who has been gravitating towards classic tailored suits, made a stylish pivot wearing Dolce & Gabbana grey silk satin draped tank top and wide-leg tailored trousers. This ensemble marked a return to his signature flair, demonstrating his commitment to sartorial elegance. Even his choice of black loafers did not detract from the overall impact of his look.
Alton Mason brought an element of exoticism to the event while reaffirming his status as a fashion chameleon, by bringing a touch of animalia to the event.
Kitty Spencer, with her refined taste in jewelry, showcased Dolce & Gabbana Alta Gioielleria pieces, including a necklace, earrings, and a ring crafted in yellow and white gold with blue Sri Lankan sapphires. These stunning pieces were perfectly highlighted by her custom Dolce & Gabbana draped dress, allowing the jewelry to take center stage against a sophisticated backdrop.
Brazilian actor Cauã Reymond demonstrated that matching your white suit to your white shoes can be the epitome of summer elegance when executed perfectly.
Pelayo Diaz, whose past collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana celebrated intricate prints, stayed true to this aesthetic with a shirt featuring a motif reminiscent of Italian earthenware. His choice underscored the continuity of his style while paying homage to the brand’s rich cultural heritage.
