Gigi Hadid joined Blake Lively on the red carpet at the New York premiere of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ on Monday.
I’ve always admired Gigi’s impeccable sense of style, but I was underwhelmed by this Miu Miu Spring 2024 outfit.
The thematic idea of Gigi channelling Wolverine alongside Blake’s Deadpool was intriguing, but the execution was lacking for me. It’s not that I anticipated Gigi to mirror Blake’s bold jumpsuit, but I feel that this look could have been more impactful.
As the current face of Miu Miu, it was expected that Gigi would showcase the brand. However, her outfit felt more like product placement than a thoughtfully curated ensemble. The look hinged heavily on colour coordination, missing the opportunity to create a truly memorable fashion moment.
This was poised to be a mind-blowing, with both Gigi and Blake embodying iconic characters. Unfortunately, it seemed that only Blake fully embraced the opportunity, leaving a sense of imbalance.
Despite this, Gigi’s presence alongside Blake still added to the star power of the event.
