It feels like Lupita Nyong’o’s press tour for ‘A Quiet Place: One Day’ just wrapped, but the actress is already embarking on a new promotional campaign for her latest film, ‘The Wild Robot’. This sci-fi adventure features an ensemble cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Catherine O’Hara, and Mark Hamill, making it one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
The 2024 Comic-Con convention served as the launchpad for this press tour, and I’m excited to see Lupita back in the spotlight with her signature colourful flair. While her press appearances for ‘A Quiet Place: One Day’ were dominated by muted hues appropriate for the film’s thriller genre, this bold orange three-piece ensemble by Dorothee Schumacher was just the refreshing burst of colour I needed from her.
Although a blazer might seem a bit formal for the laid-back atmosphere of Comic-Con, it added a powerful and sophisticated touch to her look. This decision underscores what I love about Lupita: her ability to stay true to her unique style regardless of the occasion.
Adding to the ensemble, Lupita wore De Beers jewels, and green pumps, which contributed an additional pop of colour. Her makeup was equally striking, with blue eyeshadow and a magenta lip that highlighted her radiant complexion.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Lupita’s style is her ever-evolving hairstyles. For this event, her glam team styled her sister locs into an elegant updo, keeping her look fresh and sophisticated. Lupita’s ability to constantly reinvent her appearance while staying true to her aesthetic is one of the many reasons she remains a fashion icon.
This appearance at Comic-Con sets the tone for what promises to be an exciting and visually captivating – and colourful – promotional tour.
