The singer teamed up with the Italian fashion house to launch its latest addition to the Gucci Flora family

Gucci and Miley Cyrus gathered friends at Chateau Marmont’s pool on Thursday, July 18, to celebrate summer and the newest scent in the Italian house’s family of fragrances fronted by the singer. Needless to say, flowers were the overarching theme of the evening, which introduced Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid eau de parfum. From the bloom-laden tunnel leading guests to the gardens surrounding the famed swimming hole and the water itself, and from the campaign shot at the Hollywood sign landscaped with an abundance of pastel petals and stems to the playlist Cyrus performed, posies were everywhere. The Italian house’s creative director, Sabato De Sarno, was on hand for the cocktail party, as were Kendall Jenner, Salma Hayek, Chloe Kim, Nan Goldin, Humberto Leon, Kim Petras, Kitty Ca$h, Samara Weaving, Antwaun Sargent, Law Roach, David LaChapelle, Dree and Langley Fox Hemingway, Gia Coppola and Honor Titus, Donovan Leitch, Aimee Song, Cleo Wade, Soo Joo Park, Finneas O’Connell and Claudia Sulewski, Giulia Be and Conor Kennedy, Jennifer Meyer, Kelly Sawyer and the creative mind behind Cyrus’ latest performances, choreographer Stephen Galloway.
As Cyrus launched into “Flowers,” her hit song that doubles as the soundtrack for the new campaign, she stopped to ask guests, “Why am I singing and you’re not?” Next, she halted her performance to query the crowd, “Is that Kendall Jenner doing the harmonies?” Regardless of whether they knew the lyrics, all those assembled had eyes on Cyrus as she performed while the evening set in. Blossom-inspired hors d’oeuvres and desserts made the rounds during Alex Chapman’s DJ set, and guests took in the new scent’s top notes of vanilla and a fresh marine ozonic twist while cars with blazing headlights traversed Sunset Boulevard just down the hill.
