Natalie Portman attended a preview screening for ‘Lady in the Lake’ at The Paley Museum in New York City on Wednesday.
In recent times, Natalie has been expanding her sartorial horizons beyond Dior, embracing looks from Balmain and Schiaparelli. Adding Oscar de la Renta to her 2024 repertoire, she donned a peony guipure embroidered bow-strap mini dress, a refreshing change from the black dresses that were once her signature.
While some might be distracted by the visible inner corsetry, I find this aspect adds an interesting twist to her ensemble, plus I love how this dress exudes a playful yet elegant vibe, fitting perfectly with Natalie’s sophisticated persona.
To complete her look, Natalie accessorized with signed Fred Leighton rose-cut diamond bombe stud earrings and paired the dress with silver sandals. Although her hair was left down, an updo might have enhanced the overall effect by drawing more attention to the dress’s intricate details.
