Rita Ora’s latest press tour for her upcoming film, ‘Descendants: Rise Of The Red,’ is set to be an all-red affair, adding a new theme to the series of colour-themed press tours we’ve seen recently.

Rita Ora began her day with a striking red ensemble from Burberry’s Spring 2024 collection. The outfit featured a breezy, intricate broderie anglaise-like detailed pattern that added a delicate touch to the bold colour. However, her choice of dark red sandals did work for me, as they seemed mismatched with the otherwise light and airy feel of the look. I did love her Loewe oversized oval mask sunglasses as they added a futuristic, sci-fi heroine vibe, perfectly aligning with the theme of her film.

Rita’s Marni leather suit was a certainly bold choice, but perplexing considering the sweltering New York heat, with temperatures soaring to a humid 91 degrees with a heat advisory in place. Some might admire her commitment to making a strong fashion statement and staying on theme, and I will admit that I prefer this look of the two both in terms of the overall vibe and the styling, but I can’t get over the impracticality of it all.
Rita’s all-red press tour might already seem overwhelming, especially after the recent pink ‘Barbie’ and the mostly Wimbledon white ‘Challengers’ themes, but it’s a calculated move I would expect her to take.
British Vogue has highlighted cherry red as one of the season’s trending colours, proving that Rita is on trend with her sartorial choices.
