Dreaming of… SZA at BST Hyde Park

Let’s be honest, for most of us, the Glastonbury FOMO was in full force last week. But luckily for me, American Express brought a slice of the fun to London’s very own Hyde Park. With the angelic Snoh Aalegra and incomparable Sampha serving as warm-up acts for this particularly iconic instalment of BST Hyde Park, the good vibes were free-flowing throughout the day’s festival, filled with food trucks and bars in abundance, as well as manifestation-focused interactive pop-ups. After a quick pit stop at the merch stands – where we found some seriously cute tees – we were ready for the main event, and it did not disappoint. With a replica setlist and staging to SZA’s Glasto set, the icon herself brought theatrics, angelic vocals and unparalleled showmanship to the evening. This was hands down one of the best concerts I’ve seen in a while – all hail SZA!

Watching… Bridgerton season 3

If, like me, you’ve been in a deep obsession with all of the raunchy Regency-era fun that comes with Bridgerton, and have been since it hit our screens in 2020, then you’ll have been doing some serious binge-watching over the last few weeks. With season 3 hitting screens, kickstarting a new season in the show’s beloved town, we are treated to the scenes of Lady Whistledown’s identity finally revealing itself to the show’s debonaire cast, multiple weddings and the friends-to-loves trope of dreams playing itself out in HD. Basically, there really was nothing not to like. BRB, I’m off to re-watch the show from season one.

Wearing… Holly Macleod x LUNCH

As someone who is obsessed with hosting little dinner parties for friends and getting dressed to theme for absolutely no reason at all (either than for fun, of course), the Holly Macleod line for LUNCH had me running to lunchconcept.com the second I got my pay-check last month. Between the Scottish designer’s no-waste pattern cutting process and the slow fashion concept store’s cutlery motif, there is simply so much to obsess over. I got the gloves — and might be coming back next month for the dress to match.

Visiting… CuppaPug

I grew up with a pug, and between moving away from home to London and then losing her to old age, there is truly nowhere as magical to me as CuppaPug. As the name suggests, it is a cafe not unlike classic cat cafes (of which I also adore), where you can play with animals as you sip on coffee. This one, however, is full entirely of pugs (and some French Bulldog puppies when you’re lucky).

Reading… Man About Town, Spring Summer 2024

I finally got my hands on a copy of Man About Town’s Spring Summer 2024 and oh my! She’s pretty. 600 pages of heavy-duty interviews with the best in film, culture, fashion, and music — it’s the only coffee table book I’ll be showcasing in my flat this summer. Pick your favourite cover here and happy reading!

Eyeing… Acne Studios Logo Long Sleeve T-shirt

Not the most original bucket list item amid fashion girlies, but if I were to jump on the football jersey trend this summer, it would be for one reason and one reason only: to sport Acne Studios’ Logo Long Sleeve T-shirt. Coquette-core meets the pitch, it’s definitely my favourite take on the aesthetic and a piece that would perfectly slide into my wardrobe, synergically matching my midi denim skirts and jort-obsession. The only downside is its $500 price tag — otherwise, a big yes.

Getting inked at… No Cure For You, in East London

I’m more faithful to my tattoo artists than to my Hinge dates. And that’s just a fact. So when I first walked into Containerville, in East London, for my first tattoo appointment at No Cure For You, I knew I’d found my spot in the city. With walls covered in original artwork by the wonderful Bad Cat Club (aka Robyn Topps) and Meg Rees (or Bunny Jane), owners of the studio, it’s a nest for a handful of creative masterminds ready to pimp up your skin. I’ve recently had starry eyes for the work of the studio’s apprentice Ellie Rose, and I’d recommend you pay them a visit — rumour has it you might also get a cheeky little kiss x
