Blake Lively plays by her own rules, consistently delivering unpredictable yet always intriguing red carpet moments.
At the New York premiere of ’It Ends With Us’, she surprised everyone by taking a break from her on-theme florals. However, at this morning’s London photocall, Blake brought them back in a white suit infused with a vibrant touch of horticultural flair.
What’s particularly intriguing about this look is Blake’s embrace of the oversized suit trend—a departure for the actress, who usually gravitates towards more form-fitting or ultra-feminine silhouettes. The suit itself is a statement piece, with its relaxed fit, flowing lines, and oversized proportions.
Blake’s choice to wear nothing underneath the blazer, paired with floral embroidered underwear peeking over her trousers, adds a playful sensuality to the ensemble. While some might find those elements along with the oversized element and/or the trouser length off-putting, I love the look from head to toe. It feels fresh and simple—qualities that have been missing from some her recent outings.
In the lead-up to this appearance, Blake’s press tour wardrobe has featured looks dominated by leather and chunky knits. Those pieces carried a weight and intensity that made today’s outfit feel like a breath of fresh air. So my appreciation for this white suit, with its delicate floral accents, is because it offers something new: a sense of restraint and understated elegance not seen in her recent looks.
As for the designer behind this stunning ensemble, the search continues. After a deep dive into the world of florals and a detour through previous collections, I’ve yet to pinpoint the exact origin of this suit. Rest assured, I’ll update the post as soon as the mystery is solved.
For now, we can all appreciate how Blake once again proves she’s a master of mixing the expected with the unexpected, turning a simple photocall into another major moment of fashion.
