Halle Berry made a head-turning appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix’s ‘The Union’, held at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on Monday, where the Oscar-winning actress chose a daring La Perla dress that certainly caught everyone’s attention.
The dress, which some might argue is more lingerie than red carpet attire, featured strategically placed lace details that added a touch of modesty. Yet, this didn’t seem to faze Halle, as she confidently walked the red carpet. Her poise and self-assured demeanor made it clear that she was fully embracing the bold fashion choice.
However, the dress’s level of sheerness will undoubtedly be a step too far for most.
If anything, my main issue with this look was the styling. The hairstyle didn’t live up to the moment, and her footwear choice indicates that this outing was all about showcasing the La Perla creation, which leaves me wondering if the overall look could have been elevated with a different approach.
Perhaps I’m just grasping at straws
Does anyone else feel this dress seems more like something JLo would wear? I’m sure the singer is annoyed she didn’t get first dibs on this dress for her return to the red carpet.
