The British Fashion Council announced Tuesday that Maison Margiela creative director John Galliano; Miuccia Prada for Miu Miu; Alaia’s Pieter Mulier; Chemena Kamali, Chloe’s recently appointed creative director; Rick Owens and Jonathan Anderson as nominees for its Designer of the Year award.
The organisation also announced nominees for its Model of the Year award which recognises the “global impact of a model, who, over the last 12 months, has dominated the industry” and whose influence goes beyond the catwalk. Alex Consani, Anok Yai and Amelia Gray were among the nominees.
The ceremony on Dec. 2 will also award the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, Outstanding Achievement Award, Fashion Icon and the BFC Foundation Award (nominees will be announced in November).
