Lily Collins has always been a red carpet favourite, but her appearance at the ‘Emily In Paris Season 4 Part 1’ LA premiere at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood yesterday evening marked a new chapter in her style evolution.
Dressed in a custom Armani Privé gown, Lily delivered a look that can only be described as the epitome of modern glamour.
Armani Privé is synonymous with impeccable craftsmanship and feminine elegance, and this gown is a testament to that legacy. The fully embroidered black strapless dress, with its mosaic sequins and peplum waist accentuated by tube paillettes, highlights why Armani Privé remains the go-to for show-stopping haute couture.
The semi-sheer skirt, embroidered with harlequin-inspired details from the label’s Spring 2023 collection, adds an element of mystique.
While the runway version of this gown featured a pink layer, Lily’s choice to forgo this in favour of an all-black ensemble was a masterstroke. The pink might have washed out her delicate features, but the black not only enhances her natural beauty but also feels decidedly more modern.
This look is in a stark contrast to the bubbly, princess-style gowns she often favoured in the past. This sleek, column silhouette is a clear departure, signalling Lily’s growing confidence and a more mature approach to red-carpet dressing.
Her collaboration with new stylist Andrew Mukamal—who styles Carey Mulligan, Zoe Kravitz, and Margot Robbie—is already proving to be a game-changer. Mukamal’s influence is evident in this look: it’s high glamour, but with an edge that feels fresh and carefully curated.
Completing the look with Manolo Blahnik BB pumps and Cartier jewels, Lily’s look was nothing short of perfection. It’s clear that this new direction suits her well, and if this premiere is any indication, we can expect to see Lily continuing to impress.
