Marisa Abela has become somewhat synonymous with black on the red carpet, so it was a refreshing surprise to see her step out in a taupe Lanvin Pre-Fall 2024 belted bustier jumpsuit at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations for ‘Industry’ Season 3 in New York City.
As someone who has a deep appreciation for jumpsuits, I was immediately drawn to the originality of this piece, particularly the jewel chain straps, which added a touch of glamour to the loose silhouette. The jumpsuit itself was a dynamic change of pace for Marisa, showcasing different side of her style.
While I admire the overall look, I couldn’t help but wish for a small tweak—the belt. The matching taupe belt felt like a missed opportunity to introduce an element of contrast. A belt in a different material, perhaps something that echoed the shine of the jewel straps, could have elevated the outfit even further, adding depth and interest to the ensemble.
