Miley Cyrus Wore McQueen For The Disney Legends Awards Ceremony

Miley Cyrus has had a remarkable year, and her recent appearance at the D23 showcase added another prestigious milestone to her impressive career. The singer-actress was honoured with Disney Legend status, making her the youngest-ever star to receive this accolade.

For many, Miley Cyrus will always be remembered as the girl who brought Hannah Montana to life on the Disney Channel. The show, which first aired in 2006, catapulted her into stardom when she was just 13 years old. Now, nearly two decades later, Miley remains grateful for the role that defined her early career. During an emotional speech at the D23 event, she reflected on her journey and expressed her enduring pride in her time as Hannah Montana. “I’m still proud to have been Hannah Montana,” she said.

This recognition at D23 is just one of many highlights in what has already been an extraordinary 2024 for Miley. Earlier in the year, she took home her first Grammy Award for her hit single ‘Flowers,’ a track that dominated global charts for weeks. The success of ‘Flowers’ marked a new high in her music career, solidifying her status as one of the most influential pop stars of her generation.

Throughout her career, Miley has showcased a wide array of personas and styles, often reinventing herself with bold, sometimes controversial, choices. At the Grammy Awards earlier this year, she embraced a “Tina Turner era,” channelling the iconic singer through both her hair and her fashion choices. However, at the D23 showcase, Miley opted for a more refined, understated look, allowing her achievements to take center stage.

Dressed in a McQueen Fall 2024 suit designed by Seán McGirr, Miley epitomised modern elegance. The suit featured sharp peak shoulders and a sleek, sophisticated cut, perfectly embodying the McQueen aesthetic.

She accessorized with a striking silver-plated arm cuff by Shaun Leane for McQueen, a piece that added just the right amount of edge to her polished ensemble. There were no over-the-top hairstyles or flashy gimmicks this time; the focus was entirely on her remarkable achievements and the legacy she continues to build.
