Copenhagen Fashion Week welcomed its SS25 season last week, and if you’re a Scandinavian design aficionado like the rest of us, it did not disappoint. For four days, the August sun lit up the cobblestone streets and canals of Denmark’s capital, with clouds parting to make way for the influx of guests, their Ganni flats, recycled tote bags, and wide eyes eager to see what the city’s creatives would have to offer. On the runway, the Copenhagen It Girl took many forms — from the vibrant mix-and-match print enthusiast to the effortlessly layered minimalist.

In classic Danish fashion, the calendar struck a balance between maximalism and simplicity, as bold and joyful hues skipped down the runways of Marimekko’s Parade of Flowers, Rotate Birger Christensen’s springtime fairytale, and Baum und Pfergarten’s sparkly Olympics, and experimental textures, precise tailoring, and neutral shades took centre stage at Birrot’s intimate presentation, Kalda’s showroom, and Lovechild 1979’s garden show. Elsewhere, rockstar and grunge-tinted looks brought a nostalgic air to the city with Deadwood’s Leaving the Dark City and Gestuz’s Moltkes Palæ band practice.

Whichever your style icon, we’ve got you covered. Take a look at 4 of the Copenhagen Fashion Week archetypes straight from the Danish runways — and all the Scandi-brand pieces to recreate the It Girl vibes yourself.
