After the 2024 Emmy Awards ceremony, there were some after parties. Here is a rundown of the most notable looks.

Red was certainly Anna Sawai’s colour for the night.  Freshly awarded for her Outstanding Lead Actress role in ‘Shōgun’, the actress wore a custom Louis Vuitton red silk faille gown. The modern tank top bodice gave it a refreshing edge, but the gathered column skirt had me questioning the “custom” label. It felt too long, and bordered on overwhelming her, proving that length can make or break a look.

That being said, Anna is absolutely one to watch. Her star is clearly rising—evidenced by her recent ambassadorship with Cartier—and I won’t be surprised if a major fashion house snatches her up as their next muse. Hopefully, with a better fit.

Greta Lee had a second chance to woo us at the Apple TV+ after party, following her red carpet look which a lot of you didn’t like. For this event, she opted for another creation from Loewe—this time, a custom silk satin baby blue column gown. Personally, I’m with the few that didn’t mind her initial red carpet dress because this one, despite being lovely, feels a bit too safe.

Jonathan Anderson’s Loewe is typically avant-garde, so this streamlined, cut-out gown feels way too predictable. It’s elegant, but we’ve seen it all before. While I expected more, I will say that this didn’t fall flat—just floated by quietly.

Now, Hannah Einbinder. Wow. She did a full 180 from her typically tailored, suit-heavy aesthetic, showing up in a Louis Vuitton white cut-out dress with a daring underboob moment—whether intentional or not—was a statement all on its own. While I’m not one to shy away from underboob, I do think had she lifted the straps and pulled the dress forward, it would have been avoided.

What really threw me was the accessories. The black sandals and cream LV Vanity Case clutch didn’t complement the dress at all, leaving the necklace as the lone standout. Despite the styling issue, it was a surprising fashion risk. Hannah’s transformation from structured suits to bold eveningwear deserves applause, even if a few tweaks could’ve taken it to the next level.
