“How do you define an icon?”
For Calum Harper, “expressive” is the word that captures the meaning of iconic. For Raya Martigny, it’s “resilient,” and for Kat Q, it’s “legendary.” These three emerging talents have been chosen by Maison KARL LAGERFELD to front the new Fall-Winter 2024 collection, shot by renowned photographer Chris Colls.
Titled “How do you Define an Icon?”, the campaign reflects Karl Lagerfeld’s enigmatic persona, which continues to influence fashion and culture. The visuals capture the contrasts he was known for: black versus white, minimalism versus high impact. Featuring elevated statement pieces, the duo-tone palette and mixed metallics draw on the brand’s quintessential codes, reaffirming Creative Director Hun Kim’s commitment to its rich heritage while reimagining iconic KARL LAGERFELD silhouettes for today.
