Camila Cabello Wore Tony Ward To The 2024 MTV VMAs

The best thing about Camila Cabello’s 2024 MTV VMAs look? Her blonde era is finally over.

The singer channelled gothic glam in a Tony Ward Fall 2024 embroidered gown, marking the end of her flirtation with lighter hair tones and a bold return to her darker roots.

This gown, rich in detail and drama, was a striking choice. Within the context of gothic glam, the intricate embroidery almost gave the appearance that she was draped in tattoos or cobwebs—a look that wouldn’t have seemed out of place on the red carpet or even on the set of ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’. It was hauntingly beautiful, blending eerie and elegance.

Camila’s look went full gothic wedding (or funeral as she says goodbye to her blonde era) with the addition of a sheer black veil, amplifying the vibe in a way that felt purposeful and deliberate. Paired with onyx necklaces, including a crucifix that added a subtle nod to darker themes, the ensemble was complete, embodying a sense of theatricality that truly made her stand out.

And let’s face it, if you weren’t wearing a hood or a veil at this year’s VMAs, did you even get the memo? Camila’s interpretation of the night’s unofficial theme was one of my favourites.
