Bulgari marked the launch of its new Tubogas jewelry collection with a lavish event at the penthouse of The Refinery at Domino in New York City, a fitting backdrop for the luxury Roman Maison. The historic Domino Sugar Factory, built in 1884, was the perfect venue to host the celebration of both its 140th anniversary and Bulgari’s long standing legacy. Set against the creative and vibrant Williamsburg neighborhood, the event’s location embodied the fusion of tradition and innovation—core tenets of the Roman jeweler’s spirit.
The event attracted a slew of high-profile guests, including Dakota Johnson, who turned heads in a sultry Gucci dress inspired by the seductive glamour of lingerie.
Sabato De Sarno’s Spring 2024 collection for Gucci featured lingerie-inspired slip dresses, and Dakota’s look was a direct reflection of that runway moment. With its smooth, lightweight satin and lace panelling, the dress exuded after-dark elegance while remaining timeless and understated.
What made this look truly special was the harmonious interplay between Dakota’s dress and the event’s aesthetic. The deep burnt orange hue of her dress couldn’t have been a better match for the vibrant orange step and repeat and orange carpet.
It’s clear that her stylist anticipated the venue’s palette, making Dakota’s appearance feel both intentional and stunningly cohesive.
The entire look was completed with a striking Bulgari High Jewelry Monete necklace in pink gold with coral elements and a matching bracelet.
