It’s official: 2024 belongs to Demi Moore, and I’m savoring every minute of her red carpet reign. The actress made yet another dazzling appearance at ‘The Substance’ premiere at the Directors Guild of America Theater in Los Angeles, reminding us once again why she is a true fashion icon.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Do we really need another Oscar de la Renta abstract sequin mosaic gown on the red carpet, especially after Lauren Sánchez wore a similar design?”
In this fiery red-and-black rendition? Absolutely.
This gown doesn’t just add another notch to Demi’s already impressive red carpet resume for the year—it offers a completely new perspective on the original Oscar de la Renta Resort 2025 design, originally presented in soft pinks and whites with a flared silhouette. Would the original have looked stunning on Demi? Of course. But this version, with its bold red and black palette, speaks to Demi’s penchant for high-octane glamour. It’s more than just a dress—it’s a reflection of her unapologetic confidence and fierce style.
What I love about this gown on Demi is the ease with which she wears it. Sequins, abstract patterns, and a plunging neckline can be a lot for anyone, but for Demi, it feels effortless. She commands the look rather than letting it wear her, showcasing her ability to make even the most daring designs feel natural and chic.
With every red carpet appearance this year, Demi has shown that she’s not here to play it safe. She’s redefining what it means to be a style icon in her 60s, and I, for one, can’t wait to see what she’ll wear next.
