Gemma Chan made a stunning appearance at the launch of the new Aston Martin Vanquish on Monday in Venice, coinciding with the Venice Film Festival.
The event, which celebrated the unveiling of Aston Martin’s flagship V12 model, saw Gemma not only turning heads with her impeccable style but also reminding us why she has long been our favourite to watch on the red carpet.
Before becoming a Louis Vuitton ambassador, Gemma was renowned for introducing the world to fresh, innovative designers and those who were just beginning to make their mark on the fashion industry.
Her ability to spotlight emerging talent was one of the many reasons we admired her. So, it was particularly exciting to see her step out of the LV bubble and into a mini dress from The Irish Twin, a relatively new brand that perfectly aligns with Gemma’s history of championing new talents.
Founded in 2023 by Jill Bauwens, The Irish Twin is a Paris-based brand known for its commitment to artisanal craftsmanship and sustainability. The label uses only eco-friendly materials and employs unique techniques, producing garments in limited quantities. This ensures that each piece, like the black velvet dress Gemma wore, is both exclusive and environmentally conscious. I like the contrasting white asymmetric layer that added a touch of drama to the sleek silhouette.
Gemma’s choice to wear this dress was a refreshing return to her roots—highlighting a brand that’s both innovative and responsible. She further amplified the look with dazzling diamond earrings and a pair of Jimmy Choo pumps with an embellished ankle strap, adding just the right amount of glamour for the occasion.
