Nicole Kidman is back in the spotlight, and I, for one, couldn’t be more thrilled.
Following the London premiere, Nicole Kidman graced Hollywood for the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix’s ‘The Perfect Couple’ at The Egyptian Theatre—and once again, she did not disappoint.
What’s exciting about Nicole’s recent fashion run is the undeniable consistency. It’s a rich vein of form that shows no signs of slowing down. After dazzling in two high fashion looks, she turned up the heat in a custom Ferragamo gown, channelling her inner seductress.
The gown—a deep espresso halter neck adorned with crystals—was semi-sheer, featuring a plunging V-neck that showed off Nicole’s statuesque frame. It’s the kind of look that demands attention, and she certainly knows how to command the red carpet. The sultry, alluring vibe of this gown marked a shift from her previous appearances, letting us see a more daring side of Nicole.
But—and there is a but—I couldn’t help but wonder if she was fully confident in this dress. Was she owning the moment, or was there a slight hesitation? The question lingers because of the unexpected presence of a black blazer. In almost every picture, she’s holding it, draping it over her shoulders, or wearing it. While it could have been a case of practicality—perhaps she was cold—it did create some visual dissonance.
Had the blazer been in the same rich espresso tone as her dress, it would have blended seamlessly, elevating the look even further perhaps. Instead, the black felt somewhat jarring, slightly disrupting the fluid, cohesive vibe of the gown. It left me wondering if Nicole felt exposed or uncomfortable in the gown, leading her to rely on the blazer as a crutch.
Despite this, there’s no denying that Nicole still looked incredible. The Ferragamo gown was a showstopper, shimmering under the lights and perfectly highlighting her ethereal beauty. Her look was completed with Messika jewels and Paris Texas Jessica slingback pumps.
Blazer or no blazer, Nicole remains the lady of the moment.
