Poorna Jagannathan who stars as June in the Apple + film, ‘Wolfs’ joined her co-star Amy Ryan on the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre in LA last night where she wore a Prada turquoise double satin gown.
The colour was a standout—a rich turquoise that flatters her skin tone beautifully. The design, featuring asymmetrical panels and a train of origami-effect maxi pleats, certainly added intrigue.
However, despite those details, I’m not wowed. The gown’s shapeless silhouette left me wanting more. While the panels provided a break from Prada’s usual column-like silhouettes, they weren’t enough to create a truly dynamic shape. There’s a fine line between minimalism and monotony, and for me, this look leaned more toward the latter.
That said, I can appreciate Prada’s creative direction here, especially the structured panels, which added some architectural interest to the dress.
