Sarah Paulson attended the 2024 Beyond Fest screening of ‘Hold Your Breath’ at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica on Saturday.
Known for her fearless approach to fashion, Sarah typically embraces looks with an avant-garde flair—like her recent eye-catching Schiaparelli Haute Couture ensemble.
However, for this occasion, Sarah shifted gears entirely, opting for a Dior Resort 2025 black velvet dress with a white lace-embroidered yoke. The lace detailing may bring to mind a nun’s habit for some, but there was something undeniably refined about the contrast between the rich black velvet and delicate lace accents.
While this dress wouldn’t have been my first pick for Sarah, given her usual bold choices, it was refreshing to see her explore a more understated, classic direction. The result was a sophisticated elegance that highlighted her versatility and style. Though the dress lacked the daring spirit we often see from Sarah, it proved that she can embody classic chic just as effortlessly as avant-garde drama.
It’s always exciting to see a star step outside of their fashion comfort zone, and Sarah did just that—making a convincing case for understated glamour.
