WEDNESDAY 12:26 PM SEPTEMBER 25, 2024 PARIS
Inside a stark white cube this morning in Paris, Courrèges presented their SS25 collection, a full embrace of the French brand’s trademark sleek restraint. Barely-there bandeaus and risqué minidresses met Matrix-esque shades and leather trenches as models circled around what looked like a pond from the year 3000. After the show, our editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg grabbed superstars Irina Shayk, Nataša Vojnović , Ziwe, and Rebecca Dayan to talk butts in jeans and perfect dresses.

IRINA SHAYK
MEL OTTENBERG: I’m here with supermodel Irina Shayk. Irina, you look great.
IRINA SHAYK: Thank you.
OTTENBERG: Is it fun to walk in Nicolas Di Felice’s Courrèges shows?
SHAYK: It’s so much fun because of the feeling. I came this morning and he’s like, “You’re a denim girl, you’re going to wear denim.” Actually, that’s what you’re wearing right now, too. We fit the look backstage and he made it work in one hour.
OTTENBERG: Wow.
SHAYK: Sometimes you do fittings for like, weeks before, but a real master makes it fast. Boom.
OTTENBERG: That’s all we need to know.

NATAŠA VOJNOVIĆ
OTTENBERG: What were you saying?
NATAŠA VOJNOVIĆ: Those people are so nice. They keep bringing me in and they’re like, “Come on, Nataša!” So I come here, I do this, and then I go home and it’s fucking amazing.
OTTENBERG: The dress is hot.
VOJNOVIĆ: This is a cool show to do. Their dresses are fucking—the cut and everything is amazing. Are you gonna cut those F-words or are you going to put everything?
OTTENBERG: Probably not! Why would we?
VOJNOVIĆ: Oh my god! It’s a new generation!
OTTENBERG: It’s the new generation, babe. Fucking is modern. And cursing is, too. What was your first runway show, and did you do good or bad?
VOJNOVIĆ: I was always good. I was born ready, you know? There are people who are scared and there are people who want it so bad, and I wanted it so bad. I enjoyed it. I fucking had fun. And now I’ve moved back to Serbia and I’m a mom. I’m enjoying it, too.
OTTENBERG: Now you’re a Serbian mom, and you’re coming back to Paris.
VOJNOVIĆ: It’s great. Living in New York was good, but this actually gives me freedom.

ZIWE
ZIWE: Mel, look at my little butt!
OTTENBERG: Look at your little butt! Any tips for looking good?
ZIWE: Sleep, water, and a winning personality.
OTTENBERG: Do you like doing fashion week or not?
ZIWE: I love it, but I usually only do one show per fashion week.
OTTENBERG: Okay, that’s good.
ZIWE: I’m very selective.
OTTENBERG: Is this your one show?
ZIWE: This is my one show.
OTTENBERG: Do you fuck with Courrèges in general?
ZIWE: Of course, are you kidding me?
OTTENBERG: Of course, look at that butt! And she’s giving body.

REBECCA DAYAN
REBECCA DAYAN: I’m putting my glasses on because it’s very early.
OTTENBERG: Rebecca Dayan, hi. Wait, why do you think these Courrèges pants look so good on a woman?
REBECCA DAYAN: On me? Or on women?
OTTENBERG: Well, on women. But also on you, because they do look really good on you.
DAYAN: Because he’s a genius tailor and he knows how to cut a pair of pants.
OTTENBERG: Sick. Are we going dancing on Sunday?
DAYAN: I think we are.
OTTENBERG: Will you be here? I wanna dance with you!
DAYAN: Let’s do it.
