It’s officially September, arguably the most exciting month for the fashion calendar. Between shows in New York, London, Milan, and Paris, back-to-school wardrobes, and a new quarter of exhibitions and activations, as the leaves change colours, so do the fashions of the season. But there’s a lot going on — so allow us to compile a list of news for you.

Subversive, boundary-pushing, and innovative, there is no doubt that the two British brands share some DNA. But now, the design house and skate brand have come together to see what magic they can make at the intersection of their creative identities. With a focus on culture and humour, the PALACE Vivienne Westwood collection includes clothing, accessories, jewellery, and skateboards, in a blend of sportswear-leaning fabrications and heritage prints. Our favourite piece might have to be the classic Westwood corset adorned with a print of PALACE founder Lev Tanju’s dog Stuart. A limited-edition zine featuring a campaign shot by Japanese street-style magazine FRUITS founder Shoichi Aoki is free with each in-store purchase.

Wales Bonner x Solange Knowles

Wales Bonner’s new campaign, “Dream Study,” stars a familiar face. Photographed by Zoe Ghertner and styled by Camilla Nickerson in New York City, the AW24 imagery features none other than friend-of-the-brand Solange Knowles — dressed in the latest collection. With detailed embellishments born from traditional craft techniques — take a look at the mirrors embroidered onto the Cairo ensemble in India — and top level Italian tailoring, the pieces feel as timeless as the images.

V&A South Kensington Fashion Exhibits

The Victoria & Albert Museum announced their 2025 fashion exhibitions, and it’s difficult to decide which one we’re most excited for. First up is an exploration of Cartier’s history and legacy, which will run from April and feature over 350 pieces chronicling the house’s journey. Joining the lineup in June, “Design and Disability” discusses the historical and contemporary dialogue between disability and the world of design, art, and fashion. But perhaps the third and final exhibition of the forthcoming year is most intriguing. “Marie Antoinette Style” — sponsored by Manolo Blank — will be unveiled a year from now in September 2025 and will explore the queen’s fashion that sparked a style evolution.

EMPORIUM AW24

Not many brands can count Adidas as a fan, but Irish streetwear label EMPORIUM can. And with the launch of their AW25 collection, it’s easy to see why. Founded by Robbie Fidgeon-Kavanagh and Charlie Proctor Quigley — who initially met as employees at Ireland’s leading luxury retail show, Brown Thomas — the brand bridges its Irish heritage with global streetwear trends, offering a one-of-a-kind visual identity that stands out from the saturated market as a key player in the industry. Their new collection — which, in a full circle moment, will be stocked at Brown Thomas — incudes the Heritage Logo, Uniform, and Global Distribution drops. And, of course, the campaign photos include Adidas shoes.

PUMA x Aries

There is nothing we love more than a fun collab, especially when it makes a powerful statement. For their first partnership, London-based luxury streetwear brand Aries and PUMA have joined forces to combine the classic with the experimental. Captured by New York photographer Mark Luckasavage, the genderless collection offers statement graphics, nostalgic ’80s and ’90s references, and kitschy elements, all of which will launch today, 5 September. You can find them online at ariesarise.com, in store at the Aries flagship, and at select PUMA retailers. We especially love the Aries take on the iconic PUMA Mostro.

For Vivier’s AW25 campaign, fashion model mother-daughter duo Pat and Anna Cleveland star in the latest installation of the label’s Icons series — first introduced earlier this year with imagery celebrating Laura Dern and her daughter, Jaya Harper. Continuing to honour the familial, matriarch relationship, this campaign builds off of a longstanding partnership with Anna while marking the first collaboration with Pat. Directed by Gherardo Felloni and photographed by Marcin Kempski, the beautiful and striking portraiture harken back to 1960s fashion photography, inspired by the decade’s Parisian avant-garde. The campaign further highlights the Op Art inspirations of the Vivier Op-Tical collection, presented during Paris Fashion Week this past February.

Academy Award nominated actress Winona Ryder is known for her star-making roles in films such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Heathers, Little Women, Girl Interrupted, Black Swan, and many, many more — but now, she takes centre stage for the new Jimmy Choo campaign. Looking back to the ‘90s for inspiration, Petronio Associates art directors Ezra Petronio and Lana and photographer Ezra Petronio captured Ryder in a series of bold yet refreshingly simplistic images, which when positioned together present like a gallery wall. In simple hues of black, white, and red, the star commands full attention of the viewer — as she has done from the ‘90s to present day.
