Yseult has been a force in the music and fashion worlds since she first captured attention on ‘Nouvelle Star’ in 2015. With four albums under her belt, and modelling campaigns for ASOS and L’Oréal Paris, which is why we see her at Cannes Film Festival every year.
But ever since her powerful rendition of Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ at the Paris Olympics, Yseult has ascended beyond the French spotlight, landing firmly on the global stage.
Her worldwide recognition was cemented last night during her debut on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, where she performed her new song, ‘Suicide.’
As with everything Yseult does, her performance was not just about the music—it was also a visual statement.
What’s remarkable about Yseult is her versatility. She effortlessly swings from rebellious, avant-garde looks by Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, and Mugler to the understated elegance of Dior. But for her ‘Tonight Show’ appearance, the pendulum swung decidedly towards the former as Yseult rocked a look from Acne Studios’ Spring 2025 collection, and it was nothing short of a fashion spectacle.
At first glance, the outfit appeared to be denim, but in true Acne Studios style, it was a trompe l’oeil masterpiece. The cotton canvas jacket and trousers were printed to create the illusion of denim, complete with printed chains, charms, and belts that seemed to drape over her body. The craftsmanship and playful subversion of expectations were quintessential Acne Studios.
While many would have stopped there, Yseult took it a step further, accessorizing with three actual belts that amplified the illusion created by the print. In a world where less is often more, Yseult proved that sometimes more is more, adding layers of texture and dimension to an already bold look.
To top it off, Yseult added Chopard jewels, a reminder that even in her most rebellious fashion moments, she never loses touch with her sense of luxury and refinement.
This look felt like a perfect reflection of Yseult’s artistic ethos. She didn’t just make her American debut—she made a statement: Yseult is here, and she’s doing things her way.
