Here is a final sweep of the 2024 Academy Museum Gala featuring 10 notable men who graced the red carpet.
Regé-Jean Page returned to the red carpet with his signature sartorial elegance, wearing a stunning dunhill ensemble. The British actor was effortlessly charming in a look that perfectly blended velvet, silk, and satin textures in a plush palette of plum and eggplant. A polka dot pocket square added a playful flair, while Santoni shoes and David Yurman accessories completed the sophisticated look.
As Coach’s Global Ambassador, Charles Melton smoldered in a custom Coach tuxedo. The all-black ensemble was sharp and modern, styled with Coach Dalton Chelsea boots for an extra edge.
I usually love Damson Idris’ style, but something about the fit and length of this blazer—along with the colour—didn’t work for me. I wish he’d been seated at the Prada table.
Ismael Cruz Córdova’s oversized suit gave off strong Willy Chavarría vibes, and this look worked incredibly well for him. The proportions were spot-on, making it one of his standout moments.
Joe Alwyn’s Ferragamo Spring 2025 suit featured plush fabric and a double lapel, which made for a distinctive, well-tailored look.
I’ve never been strict about men needing to wear socks on the red carpet, but something about Joshua Jackson’s Berluti suit felt off. Longer trousers would have balanced things out. Venezia leather Cursive loafers and De Beers Enchanted Lotus brooch completed his look.
Lamorne Morris was one of my favorites of the night, donning a midnight blue Thom Sweeney suit. His look was elevated with a lighter-toned shirt and two Toni + Chloë Goutal brooches, adding to the overall elegance.
Sacha Baron Cohen went tonal with a Dolce & Gabbana double-breasted Sicilia-fit tuxedo, paired with a cashmere turtleneck—a distinguished and refined combination.
Sebastian Stan did the same, wearing Loro Piana, styled with Jimmy Choo Foxley Oxford shoes and a Cartier timepiece.
Though I’m a fan of Sterling K. Brown’s style, his Brioni ivory blazer didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The texture was mismatched with the overall look.
As for Winston Duke—yes to everything. His Etro suit, accented with floral details, was a perfect fit for his stature. The double-breasted silhouette and wide-leg trousers, a trending feature on this red carpet, were spot-on. David Yurman accessories completed his ensemble.
