Halle and Chloe Bailey Bring Fashion and Philanthropy To The 2024 Chrysalis Butterfly Ball

Halle and Chloe Bailey brought undeniable glamour to the 17th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball, held at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The sisters joined the event to support Chrysalis, an organization dedicated to assisting low-income and homeless individuals in finding employment—a mission that resonates deeply, especially in regions like South Africa, where youth unemployment remains critically high.

Known for their unique red-carpet styles, the Bailey sisters delivered a striking blend of sophistication and sparkle, making a strong statement in both fashion and philanthropy.

Halle Bailey embraced the elegance of Maison Rabih Kayrouz, donning a sparkling Spring 2023 Couture gown. This strapless column dress, encrusted with shimmering crystals, took a more minimalist turn for the label, showcasing its versatility beyond its signature voluminous silhouettes often seen on Lashana Lynch. Every crystal on Halle’s dress felt like a whisper of refined elegance, exuding an understated grace that aligned beautifully with her persona. It’s a sophisticated, slightly subdued choice compared to some of her past looks, but it served her well.

Chloe Bailey, meanwhile, opted for a sultrier look that played up her signature bold style. She wore a Valdrin Sahiti gown that featured a plunging neckline, adorned with crystal embellishments and striking red rose appliques. True to Chloe’s personal aesthetic, the gown brought an element of drama and sensuality, while the red rose detail added a romantic touch that balanced the gown’s edgier vibe. On Instagram, Chloe captioned her look, “I’m the rose that grew from the concrete 🌹,” referencing a metaphor popularised by Tupac Shakur to describe resilience in the face of adversity—a fitting sentiment for the evening’s cause.

Together, the Bailey sisters showcased distinct looks that resonated with their unique styles. Halle’s gown was an ode to classic elegance, while Chloe’s choice embraced a modern, seductive edge.
