Fresh off the announcement of her second pregnancy, Jennifer Lawrence made a highly anticipated return to the red carpet at the 2024 AFI Fest for the ‘Zurwaski V Texas’ premiere, held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Wednesday night.
But it wasn’t just her red-carpet reappearance that caught attention — it was also the return of her bangs, or fringe, as we say in the UK.
Jennifer’s signature look from 2012, when she was promoting ‘The Hunger Games’, featured these very bangs, though now they’ve been softened into a more modern, lighter style with a clear nod to the 1970s. The relaxed curtain fringe perfectly complemented her subtle cat-eye makeup, giving the actress a fresh, easy-going vibe. It’s a look that feels effortless yet elevated.
As for her outfit, Jennifer was dressed in her go-to designer, Dior. She’s no stranger to the single-shouldered Dior silhouette, and her choice of a white wool and silk abandon jacket dress didn’t disappoint. The ensemble was cinched at the waist with a leather belt, which added some shape while highlighting her bump, while black pumps anchored the look with a classic finish.
Describing her as radiant would hardly do her justice. The simplicity of the look worked in her favour.
With both Jennifer Lawrence and Lashana Lynch now expecting, it feels like we are heading into maternity season on the red carpet.
